Hay little brother (Ha Ha) you know how I feel about your art. I just wish I had more walls to hang them on. You need to update your pictures!!! where are the horses and the buff??? and the mountain man that looks so familiar. I need one of those, I think I'm missing a couple of the latest pictures. See ya soon.
From the Red Rock country of Central Utah, comes the art of Wayne J. Oldroyd. In the little pioneer community of Glenwood where he was raised, he and his wife, Sharon and their seven daughters live their dream of living in the country, something they wouldn't have any other way!
At a very young age, Wayne developed a real love for art and the past few years that love and long awaited dream has started to come true. Growing up in the country, his love of nature, wildlife, the old west and history of any kind helped to influence the themes that he loves to draw, paint, or sculpt.
With a desire and a style that requires accuracy in research and detail, one can get the sense of what causes him to invest the time necessary to "get it right." With the influence and study of such famous artists as Tom Lovell, Harry Anderson and Arnold Friberg, the desire to continue to work hard and learn the attributes that have made the great ones great. Wayne hopes most sincerely that the days to come will be most fulfilling in the achieving of the dreams of a life time.
